CASE STUDY: Savoy SpinachBefore working with Tosca, the Savoy Spinach (Curly Leaf) growers were using wooden bushel baskets to harvest spinach. Their industry practice added ice in the field—it also increased costs and decreased product safety.

Tosca’s team developed a new Reusable Plastic Container (RPC), specifically built to accommodate product, ice and transit. We now supply the industry segment with a rent-per-use pool of containers that are sanitized to HACCP standards we helped create for the industry. The rent includes the use of the container, sanitization and transportation costs as well as overall management of these assets.
